Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including with a screen reader, a keyboard only, magnification or a colour vision deficiency. We follow WCAG 2.1 level AA, the same standard that applies to government websites.
Status
Partially compliant. An automated check found no remaining issues (see below). A full manual audit by an independent party has not been done yet, so we do not claim full compliance.
How we tested
On 27 september 2026 we tested 26 kinds of pages (home, services, blog, guides, glossary, M365 Status, Message Center, Roadmap, This week, product updates, Microsoft blogs, security advisories, PowerShell pages, archived items, this statement and a private dashboard) with axe-core against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA, at desktop and phone size.
What we improved after that:
- Raised the contrast of grey and blue text and of orange buttons to at least 4.5:1.
- Links in running text are underlined, not only coloured.
- Code blocks that scroll sideways can be reached with the keyboard.
- The bar at the bottom of the screen cannot be reached by keyboard while it is hidden.
Also: the site works with the keyboard and a visible focus, respects your device's "reduce motion" setting (the star background then stays still), and you choose Dutch or English yourself.
Known limitations
- Content from Microsoft. Message Center, Roadmap and Microsoft blog texts come from Microsoft and are in English. We present them as cleanly as we can, but the structure of the text itself is Microsoft's.
- Private dashboards. A dashboard built for a wall screen switches screens automatically. Rotation and refresh can be turned off in the dashboard's settings.
- Automated testing does not catch everything. Things like plain language, logical order and good alternative texts we judge ourselves; an external audit will follow.
